WooCommerce extension updates & releases

Hey everyone! We’ve got a couple of updates and and a new release we’d love to tell you about.

Updates

First, we know a lot of non-coders out there like our free WooCommerce Customizer, which helps change some of the standard WooCommerce layout, buttons, and text. We had some issues updating for WooCommerce 2.1 that requires some refactoring and tweaks, so we apologize for the delay in getting this out (of course this happens in the one we save for last 😉 ).

You can upgrade to version 1.2.1, which is compatible with WooCommerce 2.1 and previous versions, and enjoy all of the WooCommerce tweaking your heart desires!

We’ve also recently updated the WooCommerce Product Retailers extension to support using buttons to purchase from a retailer rather than a dropdown list. This works especially well for those of you selling ebooks in various formats!

New Release!

We also have a new release we’re very excited about, as it’s been in the works for some time. The WooCommerce Chase Paymentech integration was released yesterday, which provides another great payment processing option for US merchants using WooCommerce.

We’re especially happy to let you know that you won’t have to go through the merchant validation process from Chase while using this official extension, as we’ve had the integration pre-validated for security by Chase for all merchants. Simply purchase your license, set up the extension, and start accepting secure payments via Chase 🙂 . This feature alone can save you up to $150!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Chase no longer allows integrations to be pre-validated. Merchants will have to run through test cases on their site to ensure that the extension is running properly, and must undergo quarterly security scans. We’re very sorry to announce these changes, but are glad to know that merchants using this integration are able to benefit from top-level security. This post has more details.

The integration uses an iframe to send payment details directly to Chase’s servers while customers never leave your site to make the checkout process as seamless as possible while remaining PCI compliant. Even better, Chase fully supports WooCommerce Subscriptions and Pre-Orders so that you can accept payments via Chase for any product in your store.

This is where you stop reading and check out all of these awesome releases!

  1. I bought the Paymentech plugin. There is a problem, so I contacted Chase. They said your instruction is in error, and I have to contact you. So, I filled out a ticket and got an auto response that says my FIRST reply will not come for 7 days.

You charged me for a product that includes support that keeps me hung up for over a week, if you respond then. I noticed on the Knowledge base that a similar question was asked 5 weeks ago and you never responded.

I would love to give your product and service rave reviews, but right now my investment appears unusable, and I’m paying for two different services while I wait to hear how to resolve this problem.

Sorry … but please don’t tell me it’s an awesome release when it doesn’t work yet ….

    • Hi Tim, I’m so very sorry to hear you’re having issues! We have not received a contact request – are you referring to a support ticket that you’ve filed with WooCommerce? If so, we can’t view your ticket until it’s assigned to us or we’re copied in, as we’re second-level support.

If you can forward the ticket number, we’d be happy to ping someone on the support team over at WooCommerce and make sure this is assigned so that we can have a look.

  2. How come this plugin is now longer available?

    • Hi Michelle, thanks for checking in on us. Chase has changed their onboarding / certification process for merchants, which has forced us to change some things around and we’re going through the process right now with one group of merchants. Once that group has gone through the process and we have a better understanding of what Chase is now requiring, we plan to re-release the extension. This should be within a week or two.

  3. Hey, any update on when this extension will become available again?

    Thanks very much!

  4. I’m trying to configure the Chase Paymentech. When I go to process test order I should be taken to a thank you page displaying the Chase reference number, instead I’m staying on the order page and the submit button just says finished and I’m not being redirected. Can anyone help with this issue? I’ve been fooling with this plugin for days now. I suggested my boss buy it now I’m stuck looking foolish.
